LOL... I actually did run across an athiest that probably would have fit that description once, though. So, I laughed twice... once for the silliness of the cartoon, and second because I thought of that person. Anyway, agree with AJ.. funny!!

Hmmm, Peter ... I find things can get out of hand on the right or left, and I pretty much lean harder to the right. So, maybe hating is so much easier than just understanding? Sorry.. I don't like the extreme bashing on either side. It doesn't accomplish much.

it was an over generalization. You're right.
I'm sorry.
But, having grown up in a extremely evangelical household, I've grown tired with 'elitist christianity.' God's word is not exclusive or for a single group of people. I'm about the furthest "left" christian you'll ever meet. I think Darek Webb said it best:
"there are two great lies that ive heard:
the day you eat of the fruit of that tree, you will not surely die
and that Jesus Christ was a white, middle-class republican
and if you wanna be saved you have to learn to be like Him"
