What happened to Axl Rose? He keeps showing up in pictures with these weird looking braids. I miss the old Axl, I used to watch MTV in the summer time when my parents would be at work (they didn't let me watch MTV) and wait for the video for "Paradise City" to come on. The days of yore.

I know right, remember when MTV actually played music videos in full, all the time? I guess now they make you pay for MTV2 to actually watch music videos.

That was back in the day when music television actually played music now anytime you tune into mtv there is some show about some dude looking for a date so he's volunteers to go on a date with three potential girls mom's and then picks the girl based on their mom. It's quite sad really and slightly creepy in my opinion.

MTV2 doesn't even show music videos that often...it's either "Cribs" or "Pimp my Ride" with that channel. For actual music videos these days, Fuse is the move to pull.

I don't have words of wisdom about Axl's weird hair, but I did want to tell you I appreciate the captions of your links to the other guys' blogs. It made me laugh.

And Mark should get one too! Tell him.

Oh, and Kristen-- that show is called Date My Mom, and you are right it is creepy. But in my opinion, hilariously so. I really appreciate the worst dregs of television, so a couple of shows on MTV rank up there. Haha.

We played a show at Soma in San Diego and the security gaurd at the back door looked really familiar. I kind of wrote it off thinking maybe it was from Warped tour or something and at the end of the night I realized he had been the dad on that MTV show where the parents pick a date for their daughter to try to get rid of the current boyfriend. I had just seen it the night before. He was hilarious and said that after the daughter broke up with her boyfriend, he had taken him to Vegas to party. My only thought was how foreign that kind of parental relationship was to me and it made me laugh:)

Parental Control! That one is completely abominable. I, too, have watched it wondering how it is possible for the relationships to have evolved in such a way. The things the parents say to the boyfriends on that show! I don't even know.

Hey!
Axl Rose lives no more than two miles from where I'm sitting right this very moment(meaning my home)! In fact (this is not a lie) I saw him riding a big ol' hog down highway 52 last week (and by "hog" I mean a Harley or something of the sort)!
